About
Adam is a freelance cinematographer based in Prague and Bratislava. He was born in 1992 and is a member of the Czech Society of Cinematographers.
He studied at FAMU in Prague.
Projects shot by Adam Mach as Director of Photography have been screened at major international festivals, including Cannes, Berlinale, Venice, Toronto (TIFF), San Sebastián, Busan, Karlovy Vary, Warsaw, and others.
In 2016, his short film The Fear received the award for Best Cinematography at the 4th AFC Caméflex in Paris and at the 8th IFF Ostrava Kamera Oko. In 2017, Atlantis, 2003 was awarded Best Cinematography at the ÁČKO Student Film Festival. In 2018, The Truck won Best Cinematography in a short film from the Association of Czech Cinematographers. In 2022, the TV series Suspicion received the award for Best Cinematography from the Czech Society of Cinematographers for television work.
Adam’s debut feature film Victim directed by Michal Blaško premiered at 79th Venice IFF and won National award Slnko v sieti- best Slovak feature film of the year.
Music video Prezident Lourajder- Čierna directed by Adam and Mišo Ormos won the best Slovak music video of the year at Youtopia festival 2022.
